misery or fear? should the soul know such depths? what causes the mind to wander in lands so barren? longing for something neither seen nor comprehended hidden treasure known by none but those with empty purses seeking joyful bounty but absent from anything this world controls is it too much to long for the simplistic? or to desire the elements of nothing? or to devote one's life to the cause of another? if freedom bought us are we not just mere slaves to privileged opportunities? and if indeed opportunity arises will not yourself arise? 2,905,788,000 people wait to hear the gospel. 2013 Travel Pictorial

It was my dream since freshman year of college to travel. However, university life/academics, work, and campus ministry left me little time for travel. Though there were occasional trips here and there on holiday, it was challenging to get away for very long. With my eyes fixed on graduation, I buckled down with three different jobs to be able to finish schooling debt free (and by God's grace, I accomplished it). I wanted no hindrances or obligations to keep me in Kansas. Though most of my friends upon graduation were getting married, buying houses, or signing work contracts, I stepped foot into freedom from the academic regime, bought a camera, and booked some flights. As I look back at the year 2013, it was by far one of the most full calendar years of my life.
