i urge you

Dear friends, hope you are doing well! There has been a prayer increasingly pressed on my heart as of late...a prayer for the children of God - a prayer to wage war for the advancement of God's kingdom! We fight with weapons of divine power that have the ability to demolish strongholds! The Lord has blessed us with EVERY spiritual blessing in the heavenly places! He has granted us wisdom and marked us with the promised seal - the Holy Spirit! He has given us the weapons of warfare, the tools we need to fight and succeed, and He has promised to go before us! We have Jesus interceding on our behalf...WOW! This being said - why not obey the call? why not stand in the promises of God? why not forsake EVERYthing else? why not place your hope and confidence COMPLETELY in our God and King? You were called to soooooo.MUCH.MORE. than this pathetic little world has to offer... May the God of all comfort strengthen the inner spirit within you and give you the grace to stand tall for His Name's sake all your days. May you walk in the Truth of God's Word and NEVER get tired of fighting this battle we were called to fight. Fight like a mighty warrior, knowing that God is on your side and it is for Him that you fight. Keep your eyes fixed on the prize - the heavenly calling - and may the love Christ lavished on you flow forth from you into the lives of others! Never stop serving and giving selflessly for the benefit of those around you - both lost and saved. Finish strong this life you were called to and blessed with. FINISH STRONG! Do you hear me? Don't settle for less than the best God has to offer you! And remember - this is only the beginning of eternity.

Waterfall

Salty water drops threatening to take the plunge over the precipice to their doom. Undaunted by the heights, they teeter at the edge. Their kinsmen closely pressing in from behind. No room for hesitation, yet mid jump...second thoughts. They grope the lashes, Desperately clinging, fighting to remain, to stay...to go back home. Their master, silent, unwavering gaze fixed on the white wall, No longer steered by emotions And numbed by the nightly ritual. One blink of an eye, they are pushed to their death The waterfall...release... Gushes of past spoke of bony fingers interrupting their descent. New drops free falling to their destiny. The muffled funeral chant buried deep in Egyptian cotton.

Day 1 of the treasure hunt...

This morning i bounced out of bed in anticipation and excitement of seeking my treasure...after working with my client at 6am i opened up the Word (which is unheard of for me early in the morning). After the inspiration of memorizing 1 Peter i jumped into my car and headed to work. I unconsciously flipped on the radio, only to second think it and turn it off. The silence was daunting but refreshing. Soon prayers and praise started streaming through my mouth like no body was watching. Absolutely refreshed and alive, i pulled into work. Work was long and studying this afternoon was dreadfully boring, but b/c i had my eyes on Jesus everything was in perspective and no bad attitudes! Praise the Lord! I do not say any of this to boast...i'm not perfect but i was just so encouraged by the power of the Holy Spirit working in my life.
