Future Glory

Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.

22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

have you ever been so excited that you said, "I CAN'T WAIT until...?"

eagerness and anticipation builds and i find myself squealing with excitement! i can't help it! ...like yesterday, i was listening to this song (see below) and could not even contain my excitement...my whole body was excited for the day Christ will be seated on His throne with His kingdom established, and i'm among the multitudes praising Jesus and giving Him the glory and honor He deserves!!! Oh, i got sooo excited!!

it gives me goosebumps just thinking about it right now.

Paul says: "if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently."

do you remember when you were a little kid and you knew something special or exciting was going to happen the next day and you're so excited that you laid in bed awake and couldn't get to sleep. and then you woke up every hour and checked the clock. and the night felt like forever. and then finally you gave up and just got up early (like EARLY) in the morning and waited for the clock to change...it's not impatience - it's just excitement, readiness, anticipation, ...hopeful. it consumes your mind. it's the only thing that you can think about. you're prepared and ready to go, to do the thing that is before you because your excited.

if our hope is fixed on Christ there should be that same child-like excitement waiting for the day He will restore His people to Himself. sometimes it's hard to wait, patiently, for God's coming. but be ready, my friends. watch and wait. He's coming back!! And i'm SO EXCITED!
